The City of Rijeka continues with the implementation of the the Youth Programme of the City of Rijeka for the period 2023–2030, and in partnership with the City of Rijeka, the Delta Association and CTK Rijeka, the gathering of young people and representatives of the City of Rijeka and local boards continues at as many as 14 activities of the project “City by Youth 2”.

The project, financed through the Erasmus+ program, is a continuation of the “Grad po mjeRI mladih” project, and its goal is to bring together young people and decision-makers at meetings and events in two years of implementation through 14 activities for the purpose of active participation of young people in the decision-making process and the development of joint solutions based on the three key pillars of the Youth Programme:

1. Education and (self-)employment of young people,
2. Well-being and independence of young people,
3. Encouragement, empowerment and dialogue with young people.

The “Grad po mjeRi mladih 2” project brings additional opportunities for strengthening cooperation between young people and decision-makers, empowering young people and achieving concrete results in building Rijeka as a city adapted to the needs of young people.

The project will continue to promote the already achieved steps such as the Youth Fund of the City of Rijeka, the Online Employment Counseling Center, the List of Apartments for Youth and the transformation of the MojaRijeka.hr portal into the Youth Portal. The project will also continue to provide a platform for dialogue between young people and decision-makers in order to identify new opportunities and needs that will then be integrated into the operational plans of the Youth Program.

The goal of the project is to ensure that young people in Rijeka have the opportunity to actively participate in creating their future, while at the same time promoting Rijeka as a city where young people can develop their full potential and achieve their goals.
