About the project
Be Well and Green when digital, with the symbolic acronym BeWEEN, is another project from the Erasmus+ program. It is a project that corresponds to the action type “Cooperation of partners in schools from the field of school education” and lasts for 24 months. The goal of the project is to build capacities for a healthier and more responsible use of digital technologies and develop professional competencies in this area, as well as promote smart habits among teachers and students. The priority of the project is digital transformation through the development of digital readiness, resilience and capacity, and the risks for which we want to take action are health and the environment as well as the fight against climate change.
Through the project, we will gradually build awareness in secondary schools about the mentioned risks, enabling teachers and students to protect themselves and the environment from numerous risks when using Internet tools and technological devices. We will achieve the above with joint partner forces that will deliver innovative practices and results related to the safe and responsible use of digital technology in the digital era, especially in this challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic, which requires the transition to a digital classroom.
The project will develop and test learning tools that will empower high school teachers and students against health and environmental risks and threats through meaningful and comprehensive formal and informal education. The expected results are tangible reusable tools for high school teachers and students, as well as increased competence and skills of teachers needed for distance teaching. Innovative practices and results will be delivered through the creation and development of the BeWEEN coaching curriculum and the development of an educational mobile game.
The project leader is the Center for Peace, Nonviolence and Human Rights – Osijek, while the partner organizations are: Universitat Wien (Austria), Center of Technical Culture Rijeka (Croatia), Future Needs Management Consulting Ltd. (Cyprus) and National Technical University of Athens (Greece).
